
Robin Messing is a poet and fiction writer. Her short story “Drive-by” was a 2011 nominee for a Pushcart Prize. Her novel, Serpent in the Garden of Dreams, was published in May 2008 by The Permanent Press Lee-Lucas Press published her poetry chapbook From Temporary Worker. Along with Allen Ginsberg, William Burroughs, and John Ashbery, she is a featured reader on John Giorno’s Dial-a-Poem Poets recording, Sugar, Alcohol, and Meat. Her fiction and poetry have been published in The Brooklyn Review, The Baltimore Jewish Times, The Black Buzzard Review, The Catamaran Literary Reader, Distillery, Drunken Boat, The North Atlantic Review, Shaking Like a Mountain, The Sycamore Review, Telephone, Washington Square, and others. A singer all her life, Rough Magic is Robin's first professional collaboration.
